Hello everyone :)
im 18 years old and am thinking about going into cosmetology and/or hair design! I just graduated from High School this june and i would like to know as much information about this career path! thank you :)

Yeah, definitely! Well, a lot of schools accept applications at different times throughout the year since cosmetology programs vary in length. I would start by finding schools in your area (you can do that at the bottom or on the right side of this page) and requesting info from ones that seem like a good match. When you get that info and talk to the different schools, make sure you ask them all the important questions before you make your decision - about accreditation and financial aid, whether there's a hands-on student salon, etc. Then, each school probably has a specific application process, so you'll want to ask them about that, too. Goodness, I'm babbling - did any of that make sense? :)
Do you know what program you want to go into? (Esthetics&skincare, nail tech, full cosmetology, etc.)

I think i found a school that i am interested in and the owner contacted me, i just need to call her backk! and then im suure ill be able to ask a bunch of other questions as well.
Im not really sure what i want to get into, i think thats what i have a harder problem with than anything else. Are you in any of the programs or have you gone through any of them? Im just not sure as to what each is really involved with.
