There are tons and tons of new people here on the Lounge, so I thought it might be nice for everyone to introduce themslelves! I guess we could just say our names, where we're from, what our role in the beauty industry is, and what area we specialize in. Any other information you think is fun would work too. I'll start!

I am a salon owner and educator. We feature a web page masonhair.com with an entry we think will be interesting to participants in the salon industry. It is a menu choice on the front page of our web site called mason university with interesting stylists stories, interesting characters, and learning opportunitys for cosmo students. We invite others in the salon industry to participate and share their experiences. We believe the salon industry has the most interesting people and the most interesting characters, from students to people with tons of experience. Everyone has a story. Crazy stuff happens in salon life.

I was Trained in Beauty Therapy in Sydney, graduated 2004, with Diploma n Beauty Therapy.
I've worked in top spas & salons in Sydney Aust, London UK & Bermuda. I've also taught Mama Mio Product Knowledge & Treatments in salons in the UK, & some reping & sales for other skin care products.
I have just moved to California & looking to get into the Beauty Industry, I love teaching & hope to become a beauty Trainer.

i live in Rockland ID, but will be moving in 7 months or sooner to either Piedmont, Alabama or Greenville, SC. About Me!!
Hello my name is elisa and I live in california. Im currently a student and about half way threw. I am excited to finish. I also want to go to school some more maybe in the L.A. area where there is more opportunity for runnway hair and make-up. I would love to be one of them behind the curtain with all the addrenalin going thew my body awww..... what a day that would be!!!! So anyway my mom is also a cosmotologist and does permanent make-up and permanent eyelash extentions. She's a big support and inspiration to me.

Hello!
My name is Miranda and I'm from a small town in the southern part of North Carolina, called Laurinburg. I am currently looking at different cosmetology schools in hopes to find one that will spark my intrest. I have wanted to become a cosmetologist since my sophmore year in high school but due to financial issues I chose to go to a community college and get an Associates in Arts. I really want to go into cosmetology so I have a quick question: is there any specific schools you reccomend? And is there anything that I need to study before attending a cosmetology school (books, etc)? Thanks. =)

Newbie here...
Hello everyone,
Just thought I would introduce myself. I am 27 years old and live in San Diego. I am happily married to a Navy man, almost 3 years =-D. I am about one week away from starting Cosmetology school. I hope to make new friends on this site.
I'm Lacy I am from Montana but currently living in California. I have my cosmetology license in for MT and never did get one in CA. And also haven't worked since I graduated. I'm wondering if I will have to take additional classes to get a license in Virginia.?!
