So, my whole life has been spent in a salon or around salon products. My mom was a Cosmetologist, as was my grandmother and grandfather(barber). So one would assume id run tword the profession, seeing as I was entralled with it AND good with people. Instead I tried to distance myself by studying personal training and nutrition even though Id been doing my own, my mom's, friend's, and co-worker's hair for 10 years now(since I was 16 if not earlier.) Im a guy, Im also gay(but hate labels) and ran from the profession thinking it would contribute to a stereotyping in refrence to myself...the issue was not with the stereotype itself but my own unwarranted worry about what everyone is thinking of me. Well, I've lived a lot and learned a lot of invalable lessions...it just took a bit longer to shed this superficiality which I disguised as being above the "influence" of the pre-concieved normal. SO - cut to the chase I just received my financial aid information and Im getting 7,000+ from the Pell grant as well as 10,000+ in Fed loans the combo of which covers my tuition completely AND leaves me with 1,200 for 'living expenses' ....I know I should have had all of this figured out at an earlier moment in my life but I've always lived at my own speed, I guess-and life is a learning lesson which im now open more than ever to. Im very excited to start school-ill be starting full-time next month Nov, 9th to be exact and It all just became real with my call from my financial advisor. In refrence to my personal training and nutrition carreer...I finished my work but couldn't bring myself to finish the course...something just wasn't right...plus I run for myself..a little selfish? Maybe-but I gotta be me.

I visited Portland,OR last year and have been dreaming of moving out there ever since so after finishing school I plan on saving and studying up on what ill need for reciprocity in the real paradise of west coast...that will be my next goal.

Well thanks for reading and Im always looking for friends in the industry - hit me up on myspace www.myspace.com/clints01 or facebook...im the only Clint Swart in Indiana. :)
Have a great day.
