How importaint is it to make a portfolio while your still in Beauty school?? Would it help me land a job?

Thanks! Ya i cant wait to start making a portfolio i thought it would be pretty importaint. But thanks for the feed back :-) Im not sure how exactly this website works, this is all new to me.

Oh my goodness, I can't emphasize enough how important it is to start building your portfolio while you're in beauty school! Kudos to you for thinking ahead. It is so important to take pictures of your best hair, nails and makeup work so you have at least some work in your portfolio when it comes time to apply for jobs. You can actually build up your online cosmetology portfolio here on the Lounge for free, and get lots of feedback from other professionals in the field on which is your best work and what you should use in your final portfolio. Plus, when you search and apply for beauty jobs here on the Lounge, the portfolio will be visible to your potential employers!
