I went to cosmetology school back in 2000 and completed both my written and practical tests in MN, and I never actually went to get my license, I now live in Iowa and want to get my Iowa license, how do I do that?? MN is 2100 hrs where IA is 1800 I believe.....I don't know for sure~

Iowa apparently requires 2100 hours, according to this:

You'll probably have to show proof that you graduated cosmetology school and that you have your h.s. diploma or GED.
Last I checked you will need to get the Minnesota State Board of Cosmetology to write a verification letter of your training hours.
I believe you'll need to submit that letter of certification to the Iowa State Board of Cosmetology, and you'll likely have to take the written and practical exam - probably the national standard exam.
It's possible that they may have you take some additional hours of continuing cosmetology education to get licensed. You can take those classes at any of these schools, or some might even be online: http://www.beautyschoolsdirectory.com/find/index.php?search=Y&thisSearch...
I hope that helps! Let us know if you find anything else out - I bet a lot of people are curious about this!
