One thing I would do is beef up your profile here on the Lounge. Put a nice photo, and put some of your skills and qualifications in your "About" information. Then, upload a resume to your profile. Then, put pictures of your work in an online portfolio in the "LookBooks" section. (If you don't have pictures of your work, it's time to wrangle up some friends and family and do their hair and take great pictures! A cosmetology portfolio is essential to getting a job.) Then, once you have all that done, check out the "Jobs" section and begin applying! Of course, you can also put a link to your Lounge profile on your resume that you give to salons in your area, so they can go online and see all your work here.
