Barber schools and hair design schools are very similar, but there is one big difference. Many cosmetology schools and beauty schools offer barbering courses, but there are also independent barbering schools that focus solely on the time-honored barbering education. Barber school students can learn how to do steam facials, facial massages, foam shaves, modern razor styling, hair cutting, coloring, permanent waving and blow drying. Barber school is a fast path to a state barbering license.
