Nail Technology

The nail technology industry has more than 400,000 educated nail technician specialists – and it’s only growing! Most cosmetology schools and beauty schools offer nail technology courses, but there are also numerous independent nail schools that are dedicated solely to the art of nails and esthetics and nail technician training. Nail schools train students become nail technologists, or manicurists/pedicurists, who specialize in nail art and design, nail extensions, wraps and gels. While a licensed cosmetologist must be well-versed in the basics of nail technology, a trained nail technician can provide more comprehensive services to clients.
